It is imperative for the continued growth and long-term success of our business and our planet that we do something, now. We pledge to work alongside our suppliers, industry partners, governmental organisations, and consumers, to reduce our environmental impact.

Did you know?

Our doors use 100% traceable wood from northern forests. Each tree felled for our production is replaced with 4 seedlings.

Our Kerto Core composite doors act as ‘Carbon Sinks’, storing approximately 1 tonne of CO2 in every 1m3.

The production of our Kerto LVL solid core from the forest floor to the mill is Carbon Negative.

0% of production waste is send to landfill.

THE WORLD LAND TRUST PARTNERSHIP

The WLT is an International Conservation Charity that works to protect the world’s most important and threatened habitats. As a corporate supporter, we make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint and emissions as much as possible.

“FOR OVER 15 YEARS THE WLT HAS PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE FOR BUSINESSES LARGE AND SMALL ON THE PATH TO POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION AND A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. SINCE THE OUTSET OF THE CARBON BALANCED PROGRAMME, MORE THAN 610,000 TONNES OF CARBON HAVE BEEN OFFSET THROUGH OUR PROJECTS, REPRESENTING OVER £2.5 MILLION OF CONSERVATION FUNDING.”

OUR GREEN SUPPLIERS

We appreciate that every step in a manufacturing process can have an environmental impact. That is why we have developed a core of strong environmental values that we and our workforce strive to maintain. From manufacture through to nationwide distribution, we have considered long-term strategies to minimise our carbon output.

All of the timber used in our doors is harvested from Finnish forests which are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of past and future generations. For every tree we fell for production, 4 additional seedlings are planted in their place.

SITEWIDE RECYCLING & THERMAL EFFICIENT

We manage an extensive recycling programme throughout our manufacturing process which covers packaging, polystyrene, cardboard, uPVC, timber, paper, aluminium and steel. With site wide waste management goals, everyone is working to produce as little waste as possible.

Our composite doors are designed to be energy efficient, meaning they boast an impressively low U-value – so even in winter, you’ll be more comfortable in your home and saving on those costly energy bills.
